A most original thinker, Prof. Dr. Ong Hean-Tatt is a well known specialist on Chinese culture and Oriental strategic management science. He is the well known column writer of the national newspaper STAR's weekly series on SUN TZU'S MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP (January 1994 to present, over 300 articles), which focus on the applications of Asian management philosophies. He is the foremost expert on Sun Zi's Art of War. He is a valuable speaker on Chinese culture and management leadership in over 60 public, TV and in-house seminars. He was the chief organiser of the first regional conference on Sun Tzu's Strategic Management Leadership Conference 1996 held in Kuala Lumpur in 1996. Prof. Dr. Ong is the eminent author of several best-selling books on Chinese culture and management science (see below). He established GUI MANAGEMENT CENTRE in 1991 to disseminate Oriental strategic management leadership and success principles. He has served as the external examiner for Australian Ph.D. theses on Chinese management. He is currently Visiting Professor to the International Business University of Beijing, China. Founder director since 1984 of the consultancy firm, SD MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS SDN. BHD., on regional development and environmental planning. His roles include being project manager or study director in over 40 regional development planning and environmental assessment studies, including in projects under the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. He has attended several international conferences and written more than 50 research papers and 200 other papers. |
