Holy Bible Supports Astrology and Feng Shui.
Part 1. Holy Men of God Practiced Astrology and Feng Shui

Prof. Dr. Ong Hean-Tatt. 12 July 2013

GUI Management Centre's research is based on the fact that the Holy Bible supports a wide range of geomancy practiced in a Godly manner. This research is also based on that astrology and Feng Shui are scientific disciplines linked to scientific physical geography and astronomy.

Guided by a Godly astrology the wise men from the east were the first people to worship the newborn Lord

Do Your Bible Research

  • The Christmas story shows that it was astrology which led the wise men from the east to be the first people to worship the Lord. At that time, Jewish scholars searched in vain the Holy Bible to know when and where the Lord would be born. The Christmas story is a pertinent warning against those who claim astrology is demonic.

Having done much scientific and historical research into both Feng Shui and the Holy Bible for years, including text evaluations, I feel it is time for me to show what the Holy Bible really has to say about Feng Shui and its allied sister art astrology. Many people in certain groups of Christians make superficial statements without studying in-depth the Holy Bible.

The Holy Bible is a favourite sacred book for me, having read and research the Holy Bible at least 8 times. I had even made my own concordance to the Holy Bible to enable me to help remember where pertinent concepts are discussed in the Holy Bible. As such, I have written at least 5 books on the Holy Bible. I still continue Biblical study in my daily life which is much facilitated by my deep knowledge of ancient history including that in the Biblical lands. God also blessed me with several supernatural miracles. I do not think many Christians have such a deep and broad and balanced knowledge of the Holy Bible as myself.

Initially, I had not believed in Feng Shui and astrology. However, deep research shows that there are scientific evidence for Feng Shui and astrology which are physical sciences of physical geography and astronomy.

  • Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. Acts 24:13

Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22

It can be surprising to find that the Holy Bible shows holy men of God actually practiced both astrology and Feng Shui!

Many subjectively picked verses from the Holy Bible to support their misleading views.

Misleading Selective Picking of Bible Verses

What are the Biblical verses often misleadingly used to show that Feng Shui and astrology are demonic? Some favourite verses are:

You shall not eat anything with the blood. You shall not practice divination or soothsaying. Leviticus 19:26

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Deuteronomy 18:9-12

The first misleading use of the above passages is that these verses pertain to the Old Testament Mosaic Levitical priesthood system. The Mosaic Levitical priesthood system also contained other principles like the sacrificial system, clean and unclean meat and their festivals, which Israel was commanded to keep.. To adopt what the above verses say, one must also keep the rest of the Mosaic Levitical priesthood system. But what happened is that many Christians pick and choose which verses they want to keep and which they do not want to keep. As our Lord through His Death had abolished the Mosaic Levitical priesthood system, one has to be careful in using Old Testament verses to prove anything.

It should be pointed out that the passages do not forbid doing the things the pagans did. Rather, they forbid to do the things after the way or manner the pagans perform them. It is not the act which is right or wrong, but whether the act glorifies God or the demons.

  • For example, the correctness of the act of going to church will depend on the way it is done. If that the church service is devoted to urging people to kill non-Christians then that church service is demonic. Do not laugh as that was how too many church services were held in the medieval Dark Ages, when countless innocent peple were convicted of witchcraft, tortured and killed. These Dark Age church services, not withstanding that they were held in the Name of God, were certainly demonic!

Holy Bible shows that men of God practiced same enchantments as the so-called pagans!
Holy Bible Shows Men of God Practicing Enchantments

The second problem with many is a biased reading of the Holy Bible. It is said that God is against astrology and Feng Shui. Yet, the Holy Bible shows these pertinent facts:

  • There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father your father the king made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers. Daniel 5:11

    • The astonishing thing is that the prophet Daniel was and took up the post of "chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers"! Daniel was responsible for regulating these "magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers"!

Daniel would have to make sure that the Babylonian astrology and geomancy practice were in line with Godly principles.

  • Enchantments peformed by Moses
    Rod turned into Serpent
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. Exodus 7:10-12

1st Plague: River Turned to Blood
Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river. And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone. And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said. Exodus 7:17-22

    2nd Plague: Frogs
And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me. And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs: And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs: And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants. And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt. And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt. Exodus 8:1-7

    • The above verses show that at least for the first three plagues, what miracles Moses performed were also enchantments which were no different from the enchantments of the Egyptians except for the sources. It is critical to realise that what was condemned is not the art but the attributed source.

Holy men of God were performing the same types of enchantments as done by the pagans! The real difference was whether the enchantments were done in the name of God or not. A good case is discussed below.

Is the image of the serpent coiled around a rod demonic or Godly?

God Heals through the Brazen Serpent Image

Did not the Holy Bible say not to worship an image?:

  • You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Exodus 20.4

Then, why did Moses create the brazen serpent for people to pay obeisance to get healing? Why blamed the pagans for their images?:

  • Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said to Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks on it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it on a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Numbers 21:7-9

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life - (John 3:14-15)

What the Holy Bible shows is that Moses used a ritual involving setting up an image of a brazen serpent to bring about miraculous healing. Perhaps, many of you readers may be aware that the emblem of medicine is the serpent coiled around a cross.

The pagans set up images as idols. Moses set up images for healing. It is not the setting up of an image which is idolatrous but what it is associated with. This is the basis of the Roman Catholic settings up of images, as they do not associate the images with demonic things but with God and His holy saints.

The above still cause controversies among Christians. It remains a controversy only where a person uses selective picking of the Biblical verses to prove a thing. The correctness of setting up of an image for worship is dependent on whether it is used for God or not.

Research the Holy Bible before saying anything related to religion!

One has to be careful when condemning what seem to be a pagan demonic thing, especially a ritual or miracle. While astrology and Feng Shui are among the "enchantments", be careful about labeling them as demonic. What the Holy Bible shows is that men of God performed similar enchantment or magical rituals as the pagans - only, the men of God did so in the name of the Most High God. It is not the thing or act which is right or wrong, but what the thing or act is associated with.

It is most sad, the superficial way many Christians take things. Research the Holy Bible and understand what is really meant. Rightly applied, as done by Biblical men of God, astrology and Feng Shui are very Godly arts.

  • And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiates 12: 12-13

What Ecclesiates says is that "Fear God and keep his commandments" will be the ultimate criterion of whether a thing is demonic or Godly
