Two most well known Chinese astrology methods are the simpler Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination and the more complicated Zi Wei Dou Shu. Although many used to claim the two systems are different, our research has shown that Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination is derived from a small part of Zi Wei Dou Shu.

In a previous article, it was discussed that a well known Ba Zi analyst failed to predict correctly the winner among three candidates in the 2010 March 28 MCA elections. The candidate predicted to win got the lowest votes. The candidate who "stood no chance" was the winner and the new persident of MCA. In a Barisan controlled government, the new president of the MCA would be appointed to the cabinet.

As discussed in the previous article, Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination is not advance enough to be able to determine kingship.

To further illustrate the weaknesses of Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination this article presents how Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination and Zi Wei Dou Shu were used to analyse the destiny of the well known tragic actor Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee was born at San Francisco at 27 Nov 1940 at 7:00 am – 9:00am (8.00 am local time of San Francisco). The basic Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination and Zi Wei Dou Shu charts are presented below.

Highlights of Zi Wei Dou Shu Interpretation

It is not intended to present a full Zi Wei Dou Shu interpretation, as that is lengthy.

Both Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination and Zi Wei Dou Shu indicate that Bruce Lee will be prone to military arts. In fact, the Zi Wei Dou Shu analysis actually indicates that Bruce Lee can be involved in gangster activities.

However, other pertinent aspects would be presented to illustrate its much deeper insights as compared to Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination.

1.The most obvious one is the nature of Bruce Lee's death. The Ba Zi analysis uses the JIA stem in the day pillar to indicate his death by brain edema.

• The presence of the Lian Zhen and Qi Sha stars in Bruce Lee's Ming or Fate Palace indicates he will be prone to sickness in the blood veseels and nervous system. The ZWDS analysis is thus very precise!
• Furthermore, the Tian Ji and Tai Yin stars in the Sickness Palace indicate Bruce Lee will have a sickness problem arising from too much movement. That is, over-exertion helped kill him.

2.The Zi Wei Dou Shu chart actually indicates that Bruce Lee will be involved in the Entertainment world, something the Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination could not see.

3.The Zi Wei Dou Shu chart also has a number of very unlucky stars in Bruce Lee's Ming Palace, indicating a general unlucky Destiny, with the initial stage of his life a bad life path. Bruce Lee had a violent youth where he was involved with gangland activities.,

4.When the ZWDS auxiliary stars are calculated, the I-Ma star appears in the age period 22-31. The I-Ma star means movement and travel. Bruce Lee left Hong Kong for USA just before this period. It was also during this period that Bruce Lee was very busy climbing up the ladder of fame in the film world.

5.The appearance of the I-Ma star was a danger signal, as the basic chart already forecasted that Bruce Lee will have a sickness problem due to excessive movements. In fact, the Decade shift to his time of death, age 32-41, warns that he should beware of love affairs. Bruce Lee died when he was with his reputed mistress.

Bruce Lee actually the same ailment in 1973, when he collapsed during a film take. He survived this blood vessel swelling with the treatment of mannitol. However, the repeat killed him.

Some systems like Mei Hua Plum Blossom divination purporting to tell the future are fakes!

The comparisons show that Zi Wei Dou Shu is a very precise and rather accurate astrology, far more precise than Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination which is rather simpler and more vague. The vagueness in Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination can cause divergent interpretations. However, the greater precesion of ZWDS allows a more accurate forecast.

Of course, it is an astrology like Zi Wei Dou Shu which can determine kingship, something Ba Zi Eight Characters Divination cannot do. In fact, when the ZWDS analysis is applied to Li Ka Shing, the chart indicates that he could have been an emperor in ancient China!
